R.C.I.A. or Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults is offered to anyone interested in becoming part of the Catholic Community. This Faith Formation program is offered to individuals that have been baptized, but have not received 1st Communion, 1st Penance or Confirmation. Also, RCIA is for individuals that have not received any sacraments and would like to learn about the faith and prepare for initiation into the church. The program generally forms in the Fall and individuals receive the sacraments at the Easter Vigil. Instruction is given in group settings or private instruction can be arranged if candidates can not attend the RCIA group.
This is a wonderful program that embraces all that the Catholic Church teaches. Classes are held at various times depending on availability of the candidates. There is an RCIA team that leads discussion and that shares their faith stories.
